Timelines can be a wonderful way to present family histories. It makes it very clear what happened and when and the facts are easily followed through the course of somebody’s life. They can also show how little is known about a person, especially women.

20 Jul 1885 Baptised in Agios Haralambos church, Karavas.
He was 5’8” with dark hair and dark eyes.
In Kythera he was a seaman.
15 Jan 1914 Married Georgitsa Krithari in Agios Haralambos church, Karavas.
14 Jun 1914 Arrived in Sydney onboard SS Keira after spending some years in Egypt.
He was now known as George Charles Comino.
1914 - 1916 Lived in Glen Innes.
About 1916 Arrived in Warialda and worked as a fruiterer.
30 Sep 1916 Registered a business known as Comino & Co with Peter Georgopoulos.
4 Mar 1918 Peter Georgopoulos retired from Comino & Co. Peter Crithary replaces
him as owner.
21 Mar 1922 Applied for Australian citizenship while living in Hope Street, Warialda.
8 Aug 1922 Took Oath of Allegiance.
Sep 1922 Naturalisation granted.
Mar 1923 Retired from Comino & Co.
26 Mar 1923 Sunday trading license was granted in Goulburn.
12 Oct 1925 Auctioned off three buildings in Warialda. They were built from galvanized
iron, timber, bricks, and tanks. The buildings were to be pulled down by
each purchaser.
9 Aug 1926 Fined 5/ with 8/ costs and 3/6 expenses for selling goods after their
closing time.
1927 Donated £5-0-0 to build the road from Aroniadika to Diakofti.
1930-1949 Living in 266 Auburn St, Goulburn and was a confectioner.
Nov 1939 Bon Ton Café was refurbished and modernised by George with the most
modern of soda fountains.
2 Sep 1940 Premises belonging to George at 119 Auburn Road, Goulburn was to be a
Common Gaming House.
2 Nov 1940 The above ruling was rescinded.
1946 Sponsored Panagiotis Georgopoulos to Australia.
Oct 1950 Retired from the Bon Ton Café after almost 30 years.
1954 - 1958 Living at 780 New South Head Road, Rose Bay with no occupation.
24 Feb 1961 Died in Sydney.
27 Feb 1961 Buried in Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park, plot G15 plot 0902.
